"Jump Annabeth!" I yelled to her
"No, you don't know where that could lead!" She yelled
I grabbed her arm and pulled her in. It felt like one of those rollercoasters that go straight down and up and down. I woke up standing in a large crowd with other boys my age. I scanned the crowds finding Annabeth standing with other girls. She looked at me like where the heck are we?
"Let's get started," she said. She reached her arm into a large bowl and pulled out a slip ", Annabeth Chase!" She yelled
I wonder what this is for. Then I realized. The crowds, the lady, the bowls, The Hunger Games. A game to the death. She put her hand into the other bowl.
"Lewi-"she started
"I volunteer!" I yelled out
I walked up to the stage and she asked my name.
"Percy Jackson." She called
I walked up to the stage and shook hands with her. Usually we get to see people before we go but nobody wanted to see us so we just hopped on the train and left.
