Party

Alex Russo sparkled when she was in the center of a crowd. Being the center of attention was exactly what Alex had been born for. She was made to stand in the middle of a crowded room and work it with her witty charm and bright smile.

Alex did her best when she was at a party with a drink in her hand. She came off as excited, happy, on top of the world and for a better word, one that Harper could not find...sparkled.

Alex Russo would sparkle when she got in the middle of a crowd at a party. The middle of a dance floor was where Alex shone her brightest. She turned into the north star when she found herself at a party. She was at her best at a party.

Parties were meant for Alex Russo. They fit hand in hand with each other.

Harper smiled as she watched her girlfriend take a shot of whiskey and then start dancing to the latest pop song that was blaring on the radio. That was Alex. Alex was the kind of girl to shout and dance and to be crazy when the moment called for it.

It was the exact opposite of the way that Harper was. But Harper never minded. Harper never minded staying home with her radio. Harper was happy being in her bedroom with her pajamas on and listening to the newest record that she bought.

But Alex...she needed more. Alex needed to explore new things, she needed to laugh and talk to people. And every Friday night, she got it.

"Harper!" Seventeen year old Alex waved her hand over at Harper.

Harper shook her head, her red hair falling around her shoulders. She wasn't like Alex. She couldn't dance in a crowd. She couldn't let herself be that vulnerable and free. "No!" Harper called back, her cheeks burning a deep red as kids turned to look at her. They all wanted to know who Alex was calling after.

"Harper!!!" Alex called again, her tone impatient.

Alex spun around and around, moving her hips to the music that was on the radio. She smiled at Harper and looked at her seductively. Alex knew exactly what to do to get Harper to do what she wanted. Harper was merely clay in her hands at times. But Harper never minded. She loved it.

Harper smiled at Alex. She was sending her clues. Clues to what she wanted. Alex wanted Harper to dance. Harper wasn't about to say no. "Fine." Harper called back as she walked up to Alex.

Alex giggled happily as Harper stood next to her. "I love you." Alex whispered in her ear as she wrapped her arms around Harper's hips.

She was drunk. Harper had known Alex long enough to know that one shot was all that it took with her. "I love you too." Harper answered.

"Let's dance!" Alex started swinging her hips from side to side.

Harper knew that this was Alex's way of freeing her soul, it was her way to steal the stage. Harper had no problem with that either. Whatever made Alex happy, made Harper happy.

Harper started to swing her hips from side to side messily. She never looked quite as wonderful as Alex. Harper had no idea how to move to the grove, not like Alex could.

Alex rose her hands in the air. She let out a shout as other kids turned to smile at Alex. Harper laughed happily as she danced alongside Alex.

Friday night parties were the most fun that they had in the week. Harper loved them. There wasn't anything that she would trade them in for.

They were everything.

They gave Harper the perfect opportunity to fall even more in love with Alex.
