It was the Friday, before Valentine's day in 21XX, and in Hunter HQ, you could tell it was coming. Maverick Hunters X and Zero teleport into the command center right as another attack on the city happened. Sustaining the least amount of damage, X volunteered to fight it alone, as Zero, as reckless as he is, had his right arm torn off. "Be careful, X!" Yelled a young blonde female navigator, by the name of Alia. She doesn't admit it easily, but she has a major crush on the azure warrior. He smiled and nodded, as he teleported out. Alia always worries about him. The second X arrived, he found himself under attack. He narrowly avoided the giant claw, but was completely oblivious to the other one that hit him clean against his head. It was hard to aim, but he charged his X-buster to full capacity and fired off a shot, however the Maverick looked unfazed. In retaliation, it launched a ball of fire right at him. He saw it coming, but it was too late. It collided with his body, exploding, cracking his armor, shearing off his leg, and knocking him down. Such power wasn't seen by X, even in Sigma himself. Suddenly, a bright blue flash appears. He could only see the electricity flowing to the boots of whoever- or whatever was there. He had then heard the sound of a large caliber round firing. Everything went black for X, but the next thing he could know, he was in Hunter HQ in the infirmary. Zero was there, waiting for him to come to. X slowly opened his eyes. "Z-zero?" He had tried to speak, as he was a bit too drained to speak. "W-who saved me?" Looking up, he could only say three unsatisfying words. "I don't know." Nobody knew. There was no trace of any known reploid even touching him, only the claw of a giant mechanaloid, but that gunshot... That power... He looked down at his leg, That still wasn't fully repaired, and his armor was completely removed to keep the shards from piercing his body. He could start to feel exhaustion take over he fell asleep. He could only do so, it's not like he could walk around or anything. He was awoken by the navigator, Alia. "Oh, X, why did you go alone..." He had opened his eyes gently. "I wasn't alone... Who'd you send-" "Nobody" she interrupted quietly. They talked for a while. That's all they could do. X got to really know her as a friend.
After recovering, X started looking around town, as he was not usually seen without his armor, which was still broken. He was looking for whoever it was. A short figure approached him, with a leather jacket, jeans, sunglasses and long, blue hair. Like Zero's. Without showing his face, he handed him a note. The note read "Meet me outside of Xtech labs at 2200 hours for the truth." Finally, some answers.
At 2200 hours, (AN: It's Army time for 10:00 PM) X was wandering around Xtech labs as the figure approached, only he was wearing a blue jacket, a black shirt, a pair of black shorts with a blue stripe on either side, a pair of combat boots and the long, flowing hair. And is that... A tail? Like X, his main colour was blue. He had a robotic arm, and a large revolver. He had a long rifle slung on his back. He could only say, "Hello there."
