"Ah good! You're up!"
"'Morning..." The still pajama-clad teen looked up at him through half-lidded eyes.
"Say, I need you to do me a favor."
"Eh?"
The older man turned around to pick a stack of papers off the table and handed them to him. "Proofread these for me?"
Naruto glanced at them briefly. "Eh? But aren't your books rated 18 and older?"
"Aw, you're a teenage boy. There's nothing in there you don't already think about. Besides, it's good to have another pair of eyes review your work."
The blonde teen sat down on the floor and began to read, still clad in his pajamas and a sleepy look still on his face.
The next morning Naruto found himself asked to review his teacher's work yet again.
After a while he looked up. "This is boring, Pervy Sage."
"You know what 'proofread' means, Kid? It means you're looking for grammar and spelling errors, not criticizing my work." Which wasn't entirely true, but Jiraiya figured his taste in literature was lost on the boy anyway.
Naruto didn't respond.
The toad sage observed his student for a few seconds, before chuckling. "Boring, you say? Your body suggests you think otherwise." When Naruto looked up questioningly, Jiraiya motioned downwards.
The boy looked where his sensei had been pointing. "It's morning wood."
"Sure, sure."
I'm actually not sure I shoulda left the ending on there...but it just seemed like an exchange that would have happened between them, to me. *sweats bullets* Did I cross a line...?
Uh-review?
