It was Christmas and they had all made plans to spend it at the Cave together well except Kaldur, something about his king needing him in the colder times of the year. M'Gann made gingerbread men, Conner tried helping her, Robin and Zatanna got everyone presents, and Wally and Artemis decorated.
"No you need to put that one over the doorway." Artemis said pointing to the door as she tried to calmly instruct Wally.
"I know what I'm doing, Arty." he said back.
"Really? Because it doesn't look like it." she said.
"Oh, come on we're decorating the Cave for Christmas, can you try not to make this into a power grab?"
"Why is this my fault? I just want the Cave to look good."
Off in the distance Artemis could hear Robin snickering to Zatanna but she wrote it off as normal behavior.
"Oh so I suppose it's my fault then?" he said getting closer to her.
"You said it not me." She said putting her hand on her hip.
"Um... guys." Zatanna said covering her mouth from giggles. They both looked at her and she pointed up. Above they're heads was mistletoe. They both looked back at each other and blushed.
"Not in a million years, Baywatch." Artemis said storming off to her room. Wally was left standing there wide eyes alone with a very red blush setting on his face.
"What the hell, Robin?" He said looking up into the raters where he knew the boy wonder was hiding. All he received in return was a cackle from up high. Wally sighed and ran after Artemis. He knocked on her door and heard a 'what?' from inside. Wally opened the door and stepped inside.
"What do you want?" Artemis said sitting on her bed.
"To talk." Wally said back.
"Okay, shoot."
"Um... well... Yeah, I've got nothing." Wally said putting his hand on the back of his neck.
"Ugh, so why did you even come here?" Artemis said getting up and moving in front of Wally.
"I don't know, maybe to do this?" He said wrapping his arms around her hips and he kissed her right on the lips. "Please don't kill me?" Wally said when they separated. Artemis stared at him in shock then just as wally expected she slapped him. But after that she did something he wasn't expecting she put her hand on his neck and kissed him. He placed his hands on her hips again and she put her hand in his hair.
"Merry Christmas, Kid Idiot." she said smirking and walking out the door. Leaving Wally once again standing there wide eyed with a blush on his face. Then he grinned and followed her out the door.
