Seth had always known.

He knew it, as clear as the sun shines bright.

He had told his parents long ago, but they just smiled back endearingly.

He kind of liked being the only one to know. Like he held this huge secret that only he was exclusive too.

He could sit back and be content knowing that after all these years he was right. 100 right.

Except that he couldn't. Cause meaning that he was right, could result in him losing her.

Logically he knows that it shouldn't make a difference. She is still the same person he has always known. The same person he fell in love with.

Is in love with.

But they are separated but the whole country.

And logical doesn't hold shit when it comes to affairs of the heart.

And he knows that, as clear as the sun shines bright.

He knows he shouldn't worry, but he can't help it. He doesn't know what else to do. What else to think about. She has been the main occupant of his mind ever since he can remember.

And he wouldn't want it any other way.

There is just so much of her to consume his mind.

Because she is amazing. And she still takes his breathe away.

All those years of thoughts, those memory's of high school, to see her slowly meld from the beautiful little girl into the gorgeous women she is now.

One time he remembered thinking years ago, after watching his parent's converse in the kitchen, if it was possible to know someone better then they know themselves.

To watch from afar and know exactly what the person will do. To sit and watch their interaction. How they move, talk, decide. Knowing what they are going to do next. Its like this exhilarating feeling that somehow you get to glimpse into the future. You get to feel this way about a person.

But what he thinks will be the most euphoric feeling; will be knowing that only you know this. And no one else will ever know. This is your secret. Your special keepsake that no one in the world can take away from you.

He will get to that stage one day. And the anticipation sends a tingle down his spine.

He smiles as he thinks about his special girl. Remembering all the good times. The landmarks in their relationship.

Fuck she's a crazy girl. And me smiles remembering.

Cause he knew.

And he loves it even more that nobody even realized when she gave them the hints.

And for some reason a picture of her smiling in an adoringly cute fashion facing the ground shyly, pops into his head.

He wonders what she is up to now. Who she is wrecking havoc on. What trees and animals she is trying to save.

And he smiles as he remembers a tiny young girl feeding a little squirrel whose nuts just kept getting stolen. Helping out the poor bullied animal, doing all that was in her power.

Because who was she to sit back and watch an injustice happen.

Cause it's who she is.

Who she will always be.

She would never stand around doing nothing. She is a boss by nature. A leader.

She always loved being the free spirited – stand up for yourself type girl.

Being social chair, being a leader. Wishing she was a mermaid. Telling the dean that it wasn't just Seth who stole the tiki hut. He read it all.

Half her school years she was chasing her tail. But even doing that, she was still kicking arse. Enjoying herself.

Being loud. Being a bitch. Being crazy. Being seen. Being Summer.

She can be whoever she wants to be. Be whatever she wants to be. And that is what scares him.

He couldn't bear the thought of holding her back. He has to let her be what she wants to be.

And that's why he is giving her space.

Cause he just loves her too much.

And we all know this, as clear as the sun shines bright.
