As he stands there waiting, everything around him is brimming with life, people walking with purpose up or down the halls, chatting.
Stanford. He did it, finally.
Sam sighs, he left his father and brother behind, made it to Stanford – with a full ride, no less. Afterwards Law School. Every opportunity he ever wished for is in his reach now.
"Samuel Winchester? The headmaster wants to see you now," the secretary smiles encouragingly.
In his faded Jeans and handed-down polo shirt he still feels like an outsider and more alone than ever before.
Sam nods and enters the office.
