Up Climbs the Sneasel
Prologue: Lerberg One
A Celebi was flying through the Gamewatch of Pallet Town. Ash Ketchum was getting married; the Celebi knew this trainer by name. There was his brde, beautiful and sleek.. There was something else different about it, too, but Celebi couldn't put her finger on it.
Suddenly it shook in the Viridiam Forest, the Thyber Stone weighing it down…
The time-chimes of purple and grren rang through. Celebi was going to a different time…
She was holding a hexagonal stone, and it was becoming quite heavy. She hovered a few feet above the ground, struggling to hold it up, when she heard a noise.
There was a boy there with a Pikachu. They were fighting a multitude of Fearow. Celebi recognized the boy. This was Ash Ketchum, though much younger than Celebi had even seen him…
The Thyber Stone grew heavier and heavier ny the moment. And Celebi dropped it…
A Spearow had just evolved. It was glowing. But there was something else about it as well. Celebi couldn't quite catch it at first. Then she knew. It was sentient. It was aware. And it was awake.
Celebi sent out her time-swirls to go forward to the future, clutching the Thyber Stone…but when she got there, the stone was not to be found.
She heard battling going on down below. At first she took no notice of it. She wasdn't Virizion. She had nothing against Pokemon battling. But her attention was drawn to it, by a noise. And then her eyes were bugging out, from what she was seeing.
In many ways, it resembled the form of Pokemon battling she was used to. Only things were switched around. A Tauros was barking orders in strange language at a human being. Celebi thought she had seen him before. Green vest, oramge shirt. Ah, yes. This was Brock. Friend of Ash Ketchum. But that was small Rogfgenrola compared to the fact that he wass pummeling a girl with his fists, and was clearly disturbewd by it. It was like he thought he were tearing his own heart oout. She spit in his face, by the ocommand of the Numel behind her. And Celebi felt that this was heartbreaking…Brock thought very highly of the girl. Spending a bit of time with MaNAPHY HAD TAUGHT Celebi how to feel the waves of love. The girl disdn't seem to care for him. She was slamming him in the face with her purse. He fained, and a Mandibuzz, acting as referee, held up a wing to indicate that Numel had won. Tauros thrashed about angrily, and as soon as Numel called the girl back into a silver sphere (a yellow light entrapping her, the sight of which caused Celebi to run her eyes), Tauros charged at Numel with te intent of shaking him up. Mandibuzz came between them and began scolding Tauros, pecking at him with her beak.
Celebi went forward, higher into the sky, and saw similar such battles from a Talonflame's eye view. It wasn't just humans being commanded/there qwere houses, refrigerators, and even trees. Not to mention cars, which generally seemed to kill the humans they were battling. Celebi started to shed a tear. How had this happened?
The Thyber Stone…the Fearow. Celebi Had somehow caused Pokemon to become sentient, and to use people in this way. Bloody hell…
She zoomed toward the Viridian Forest again, intending to correct her error. But a throbal star was tossed up at her by a Mankey hanging from a high branch, and she fell unconscious.
