The battle sounded around them. Many men had fallen, but they were not their own. Arthur sighed in relief. They were winning the battle. But his hope was crushed by the arrival of Morgana, far off in the distance. She threw anyone in her way, even her own soldiers. She blasted a few stubborn ones with some fire and stepped over those on the ground.

"Fight me!" Morgana screamed from the distance. Then three unknown commoners hopped in front of her and threw her backwards.

Arthur was surprised. He never lifted the ban on magic -even though he was planning to do so- and these sorcerers willingly jumped in front of him to save his and Camelot's life. Soon, it was the three against Morgana, fighting a magical duel. Arthur realized that they were only a barrier, a distraction as he saw a few more peasants appear from nowhere dragging Camelot's men out of harms way. Even though Morgana was outnumbered, she had more power. Arthur quickly saw that they were losing.

He ached to shout at the tree strangers, "Get out of there! You shouldn't put your lives for the rest of us, get out!" But he knew they were too far away to hear him.

Arthur absentmindedly slashed an attacking opponent from his side when he spotted Merlin a few yards in front of them. Merlin was just standing there, among the scattered bodies of Morgana's men. Arthur saw that he ached to help, but was desperately holding himself back.

Arthur's attention turned back to the three sorcerers. They were tired and in Morgana's palm was three magical fireballs.

"No!" he screamed. Morgana threw the fireballs and they each found their targets. The three sorcerer's were struck down, and Morgana smirked in glee.

Arthur saw Merlin's horrified look. There, Arthur decided what he needed to do. He ran up to Merlin and caught is shoulder. Merlin visibly jumped and turned to face Arthur.

"Arthur!"

"Merlin, I need you to do something."

"Anything of course. Except maybe do some chores, because now really isn't the time for that."

"No, not chores."

"Then what is it?"

"I need you do this immediately." Merlin nodded his head, signaling Arthur to continue. "And without hesitation."

"Of course, Arthur, what is it?"

"If you stop at all I'll have your legs cut down."

"Arthur! What do you need me to do!"

"Okay, immediately and without hesitation," Arthur started and pointed to Morgana.

"What!"

Arthur spoke quickly, "I need you to go run over to Morgana," Merlin nodded, his eyes fixed and concentrated on the evil Morgana, "and defeat her with your magic and win."

"Got it," said Merlin as he took off. Arthur watched Merlin run off a few yards before he suddenly froze, comprehending the rest of Arthur's sentence. He slowly turned to Arthur, eyes wide in surprise and confusion.

Arthur only smirked and shouted before joining a huge battle taking place behind him, "I said immediately and without hesitation Merlin!"
