Nurse Medusa
Holy Rome's Return
A Chibitalia Fanfiction
Italy
I was sitting in my room going through old things (not like America's storage room cleaning) when I found stuff from just after the Italian wars when I was living in Austria's house. I looked through the items until I found what I was looking for; pictures drawn by me and Holy Rome. The paint was a bit faded and smudged, but it brought back memories, a time when I felt like I was special to someone, like the way I feel about Japan and Germany.
Germany
"Hey Japan, where's Italy?"
"He said he was going to clean his room and go through some things."
"Alright, I'll go find him." After walking to his room I noticed an awkward silence. Italy's never quiet, never. So I continued to his room, cautious so he couldn't hear me, then I opened the door and went in. The second the door opened I knew I'd disturbed an unusually serious, pasta loving fool.
"Oh! Germany what are you doing here?" Franticly trying to hide something.
"Oh? Me? Just looking for you…hey, what's that you've got?" I could tell it was a painting; kind of sloppy, really old and a bit smudged.
"Oh, it's, it's nothing…" Said the white flag raising coward. I knew he was hiding something.
"No, come on, let me see."
"Oh fine, I surrender." He then handed the paintings over. There were three in all; one of a white and a pink rabbit, another with just one rabbit; a pink one, and finally one of him in a maid outfit; if I didn't know better I'd say he was a girl.
"Who made these?" I couldn't help myself, I was curious.
"Me and a friend, long ago. It was Holy Rome and I made these. Since he never came back from that war I don't know if he's alive and still has my broom or if he's long gone." He was silent for a second after that. As if he was remembering something tragic.
"You knew Holy Rome?"
"Yes, we were both very young at the time; he thought I was a girl. We fell for each other, I loved him."
"Hm, that's tragic."
"Yeah, my history isn't that great." Then there was a loud banging sound at the door.
"Germany! Italy! I believe someone wants in!"
"I'll go get it; you better put these away before Japan finds them."
"Oky-doky!" Then I walked downstairs to answer the door. I opened it up to find a strange man dressed in rags and holding a very small wooden broom; probably designed for a very young child, at the door.
"Excuse me; but by any chance does Italy live here?"
"Who are you?"
"Holy Rome."
It's really cheesy, I know. But when I saw the last episode of Chibitalia I was crushed. I hate endings like that, so I had to write this. I wanted Italy and Holy Rome to see each other just one more time. ,'*( (Me crying)
