Let you go, let you go,

Never can I let you go

For you are now under my skin

You leave a mark while burrowing in

The drill goes deeper, deeper still

This pain is morbid, cold and shrill

If you don't stop, I'll lose control,

But it's all so tight, I can't let go.

I want to tell you, you've reached my peak

But my throat tightens, I can't speak

It's like you can see straight through me

Yet you remain a mystery

I've known you for so long, it angers me to say

That though I act bland, I don't feel that way

There is a barrier between us; I can't make this all end

Because there is a difference between rival and friend

So figure out yourself, how others may feel

It may look fake to you, but reality is real

Your shadow follows me night and day

Though I tell you off, you tend to stay

There's nothing I can do, I've stopped once more

You're mind is closed as is the door

The pain has ceased, you've let me go
