One sunny morning in the Land of Ooo, Princess Bubblegum was going about her daily routine when she found herself out of her usual territory.
A smell filled her nose. 'Twas a nice smell, but no ordinary nice smell. This smell was unlike any nice smelly smell she'd ever smelled before.
Bubblegum followed her nose until she came across a little orchard, and a little house. The nicest nice smell seemed to originate from this little house.
In the orchard outside outside the little house was what appeared to be a tiny elephant! Yes, a small, yellowy, friendly-looking elephant.
The little elephant was in her apple orchard, planting a new tree.
"Tree Trunks!" Bubblegum smiled broadly, tottering across the clearing to Tree Trunks.
"Princess! My, it has been a while." Tree Trunks looked at Bubblegum fondly. "Come in, come in. I was just baking a pie. Let's share a slice or two."
Ah, so that was the smell! Bubblegum thought. "Sounds great!" she spoke.
Tree Trunks led the way inside her petite house and Bubblegum sat down as the elephant removed a golden pie from the oven, setting it down on the table and cutting a slice for Bubblegum, who picked up a fork.
"Looks delicious, Tree Trunks!" The princess complimented.
"I hope you like it." Tree Trunks smiled humbly.
Just as Bubblegum was about to take her first bite, they heard a loud bang followed by a crashing noise as one of the walls of Tree Trunks' little house collapsed and a shadowy figure loomed in the gaping hole.
"It can't be…" Tree Trunks muttered, taking a few feeble steps backwards.
Princess Bubblegum looked at the elephant. "Do you know who that is?"
"Y-yes."
