This is an English project I did along with a friend of mine, Sofía, for school. We tried to sort of take a peek into his thoughts... and this is what we got.
I hope you enjoy! Please review :)
Home Sweep Home
Argus Filch considered himself to be a man of many talents. Sweeping floors was one of them. He swept with such excellence that the beauty of his clean floors rivaled that of the ones cleaned with magic.
War was over. Voldemort was dead. Hundreds of wizards had died too. There was no trace of the Death Eaters, who had disappeared, except for in the ruins of the Hogwarts castle.
It was Filch's job to clean after the wizard's mess, as always. He heard a purr and felt something brush against his leg: Mrs. Norris.
"Hey, little fella'. Go scratch some noisy students for me, would you?"
The cat meowed and, instead, latched herself onto his pant leg. The man sighed. "Alright. Alright. It's you and me now, Mrs. Norris".
He gripped the broomstick, grimacing. Year after year, it was the same. Stupid wizards whose magic sticks were more useful than their dusty brains ruined his precious corridors- again.
Filch hated how they went and destroyed everything without even asking him if they could have war at Hogwarts. And Potter was the leader of them all, that little demon. Filch still remembered the kid's escapades from all those years. Potter was arrogant, stupid, and above all, disorderly. And he had petrified Mrs. Norris, for which Filch was waiting to have revenge on Potter's kids when they entered Hogwarts. The thought made him smile.
As he continued to sweep, with Mrs. Norris by his feet, the Squib relished in thinking different ways of retaliation on the future Potters. As he swept and swept, a smile slowly crept onto Argus Filch's face.
Mrs. Norris would be by his side, where she always was.
He would make sure that Hogwarts stood again for the next class term. Magic would still be there, stupid wizards would still be there, but most importantly: the castle would still be there.
You and me, Mrs. Norris. We're going to make it happen…
Home, sweep home.
There you go. Please tell me what you think!
