They didn't need an Interdimensional Cable box to watch the latest episode of Steven Universe. Regardless, both Rick and Morty were surprised at the plot twists that occurred on the newest episode. They binge on that show for their own reasons: Rick to find some sort of conspiracy and blow it out of proportions, Morty for cute alien girls. But the newest plot twist blew all of Rick's theories off the table, and replaced it with new ones.
"WOAH! That was amazing!" said Morty.
"I know, right?" said Rick, "I got a bunch of other Ricks to text right now!"
Rick pulled out his interdimensional space phone and open the texting app. He dialed the numbers of all the Ricks he knew personally and told them the news.

RICK K378: Did you see the latest episode of Steven Universe? Rose Quartz didn't shatter Pink Diamond: she is Pink Diamond! #mindblower

Rick took a few more minutes to find an appropriate YouTube clip and attached it to the text, "annnnnnnndddddd SEND!"
"Aw geez, Rick," said Morty, "I don't know if I'm able to take all of it in."
"Oh I know, Morty," said Rick, "Let's go into the basement and play a couple of newly extracted mind blowers!"
"Really? After the one I've seen of me licking your balls, y...y...you still have those?"
"Relax, Morty. I've been more cURRPareful in which memories I remove."
And they set off for the trap door in Rick's garage.

Meanwhile, in the Steven universe, at the Gem Homeword, things were as chaotic as it usually was. In her private quarters, the White Diamond...who just so happened to be the Rick of that dimension ("DIAMOND RICK!") felt something vibrate in her pocket. She pulled it out: it was her own interdimensional space phone. On the screen was the latest text from Rick of Dimension K378; the TFSyndicate FanFiction Rick.
Diamond Rick stood up and set off for the throne room, where she knew she could find the other Diamonds in her authority. Indeed, there were the Yellow and Blue Diamonds, seated in their respective thrones.
"Look who finally decided to come out of her shell," the Yellow Diamond muttered to herself. Then louder, to the White Diamond, "Where were you? You just missed the Rose Quartz trial!"
"WhaddaURRPya mean just?" said the White Diamond, "That was like last year!"
The Yellow Diamond gave her a menacing glare. Diamond Rick handed her the phone.
"Oh, speaking of Rose, I think you might wanna see this."
All three diamonds stood, their eyes glued to the tiny screen as they read the text and played the attached YouTube video. The resemblance was uncanny! Who knew that Rose Quartz's gem was the Pink Diamond's diamond on an angle? And the shattering was a metaphorical cover-up?
The Yellow Diamond's pupils shrank. All the anger built up over the Pink Diamond's 'death' and the Earth's impending doom was all for nothing.
"So that's it then," she muttered, "Pink Diamond is one of them. A Crystal Gemâ„¢!"

The Blue Diamond shared the pain, as they handed the space phone back to Diamond Rick, the White Diamond. Both Diamonds retreated to their respective quarters, the Blue Diamond shedding more tears than before, the Yellow Diamond seated in a fetal position, her pupils still tiny, possibly in a trance. The White Diamond was the only one left in the throne room.
"And that's the waaaaaaayyyyyyyy the news goes!" she said.
And the metaphorical curtain lowered.
