She had done it. Finally done it. Kagome had gone overboard when she was yelling at Inuyasha.
Flash back
"What are they arguing about now?" Sango asked lazily.
"I stopped caring long ago. So I don't know" replied an equally lazy Miroku.
The demon slayer and the monk were sitting in a small house where the priestess Kaede usually stays. Kagome and Inuyasha were at the edge of Inuyasha forest and were having another one of their famous arguments.
"Will you stop overreacting?" Inuyasha yelled.
"You don't get it! You never do! You stubborn HALF BREED!" Kagome yelled back.
As soon as the words slipped out of her mouth she clamped her hand over it, realizing what she had just said.
Inuyasha went silent. They stood like that for who knows how long before Kagome spoke.
"Inuyasha….I'm s"
"It's ok" he interrupted.
"I hear it a lot. I'm used to it now" he added.
Kagome could hear hurt in his voice.
Before Kagome could utter another word Inuyasha left and ran into the forest.
End Flash back
After their argument you could find Inuyasha lying in a tree in the middle of the forest. Normally Inuyasha would never be caught thinking but this situation was a little different.
"It's not like it makes a difference. People call me that all the time when we travel. It just feels different when someone you care about calls you something like that. I guess I should mope around about it anymore" he said to no one.
With that our favorite Hanyou fell asleep in the tree.
