Author's Note: I wanted to write a little something for Neville and Luna because they are among my favorite secondary characters, and I think they would have made a cute couple. There is no specific time frame for this drabble. As always, constructive reviews are loved and appreciated.

He was the clumsy idiot, the one who always made a mess in Potions class because he was afraid of Professor Snape, the one who was always needing help with even the simplest of spells, the one who was always forgetting important things, the one who always seemed to be a hopeless wizard, the one who didn't belong at Hogwarts.

She was the crazy one, the one whose head always seemed to be struck up in the clouds, the one who always seemed to be out of touch with reality, the one who didn't have a care in the world, the one that no one understood, the complete and total oddball, the one who made Hogwarts look like St. Mungo's.

They were everyone's joke. Even their own housemates would sometimes make jokes about them.

"That Longbottom would forget where he placed his head if it wasn't attached to his body."

"Oh, look, here comes Looney Lovegood. How did she miss bumping into that wall?"

Neville rarely tried to hide his pain whenever he heard an insult about him. But he wouldn't fight back either. He would just accept the cruel taunts and try to move on with his life.

But a part of Neville wished that he would stop being everyone's joke.

Luna didn't seem to be affected by anything around her, must less the unkind words being directed towards her. She seemed to be too much in her own dream world to be affected by anything.

But a part of Luna wished that she would stop being everyone's joke.

Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood were abnormalities, even for the Wizarding World. Some people would even dare to say that they made Harry Potter look perfectly normal and sane.

Even Neville thought that Luna was a little strange when he first met her.

But then Neville realized that Luna was a true friend. Maybe she was a little crazy, but at least she supported her friends. Neville knew that no matter how bad things got, Luna would always be there beside him, looking as dazed and confused as always (while in reality she would be as prepared for battle as any other wizard or witch).

And Luna thought that Neville was a wonderful wizard; he just needed someone to help him to come out of his shy, insecure shell. And he was definitely a lot braver than he would ever give himself credit for.

Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood were everyone's joke, but they were each other's everything.
