Chapter 1
Telling Charlie
CPOV (Charlie)
I was in the living room absorbed in the basketball game, waiting for Bella to come home from her day with 'Alice'. Although I was pretty sure she was with Edward and not telling me. There was a commercial in the game so I decided that I would go to the kitchen and make some popcorn. My popcorn was in the middle of popping and a loud knock on the door. After almost having a heart attack I left the kitchen to answer. I lazily made my way to the door and opened it.
There stood 6foot something Jacob Black, he had a look of pure determination on his face. Although my face lit right up I said the first think that came to mind "Jacob! Come in, Bella is not here right now but you can wait for her if you want." He looked at me for a second, and then he ducked to get in through the door.
"Actually Charlie, I was wondering if I could talk to you for a minute, I think it is time that you were let into the loop" ,he replied. His arms were crossed over his chest. I was totally confused 'let in the loop. What does he mean?' was all I thought before I finally said, "Ya, sure, sure come sit on the couch you can tell me whatever you want!" I muted the T.V to tell him that I was serious. A look of relief crossed his face.
"Well, I know that this is going to sound a little weird but, I am a werewolf" He stated proudly. I looked at him with total disbelief, I was so close to grabbing the phone to make a certain call but then he finished with, "No, watch I'll show you!" he gave me a small smile. I heard this terrible ripping sound, I blinked then there was no more Jacob. No, instead there was a giant russet wolf in the middle of my living room. I screamed, I went back into the kitchen and grabbed the phone I started dialing Bella's cell phone number. It rang three times before she finally answered,
"Hello?"
"Oh, Bella you will never guess what!" ya, I was totally playing it cool.
"What dad?" Bella sounded very worried.
"Well, I was watching the game, and at a commercial I decided to make some popcorn. SO I was in the kitchen, and there is a knock on the door. So I went to answer it! Jacob was there and said that he needed to talk to me, so I was like sure kid! We were sitting on the couch and Jacob said that he was a werewolf. Now, at first I didn't believe him until I heard this ripping sound and then in a blink of an eye there is this giant wolf in the living room." I finished. I was out of breath for explaining, there was a long silence on the other end before I heard Edward yell,
"THE STUPID MUTT DID WHAT!!!!!!" then the line went dead.
