I don't own Digimon, Taichi, or Yamato. Though I would very much like to own Taichi.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Yamato stared moodily out the window and sighed as he watched the snow fall silently. He hated just about all aspects of winter; the cold, the snow, the wind… the list could go on forever.

Taichi dove into the armchair across from him and let out a shout of excitement. He was almost the exact opposite of Matt; he loved the snow, the brisk morning scent, and the holiday cheer.

"Tai, could you please grow up?" Yamato asked, annoyed with Taichi's childishness.

"Sorry, Matt." He looked up at the boy sitting across from him and gave his trademark lopsided grin. "You can never be too excited for Christmas."

Matt scowled back and continued to stare out the window. Across the street, a little girl was building a snow fort with her brother.

Taichi sat on the floor next to Matt and leaned against his long legs. Then he gazed up curiously. "Hey, why do you hate Christmas so much?"

The blonde shrugged. He didn't have an exact reason for it. Perhaps it was just that he was never really a very festive person. "I dunno," he mumbled, and then grinned at Tai. "Maybe because you're always there to ruin it for me," he teased, reaching down to ruffle Tai's messy brown hair.

"Oww!! Geez!" Scowling, he jumped up to return the favour to Matt.

As Matt put his arms up defensively, Taichi tripped over his legs and fell into "Matt's lap, tipping the armchair onto its side. It was all they could do to prevent their foreheads from colliding as they fell to the floor.

"Ow! Tai, be careful!" he proclaimed as he rubbed his bruised forehead vigorously. Lying next to him, the brunette began to laugh. "It's not funny…" he mumbled as he closed his eyes. "See, this is what I meant about you ruining my Christmases…"

Taichi shuffled his body closer to Yamato, put his arms around him, and cut him off in mid sentence with a kiss. Despite the throbbing pain on Matt's forehead, he gently kissed Taichi back and rested his chin on top of his head.

"Or maybe, I just spend too many of my Christmases annoyed with you…" Yamato teased again, smiling slightly.

"Mmm..," Taichi said, his voice muffled by the blonde's chest. He breathed in his scent and felt his heartbeat against his cheek.

"Well, in that case, I think I should probably keep on disliking Christmas."
