He held my hand as we walked through the park after the game, he scored the winning run and I knew that me going to the game had meant a lot to him. He had speant the last half hour holding my hand and making me laugh and smile, more than anyone ever had. The whole time I speant with him I could feel these butterflies fluttering in my stomach, choking me each time I wanted to say something abouth the way he was making me feel. Why was I so in love with him? Could I be in a relationship with him? I mean I liked Jake didn't I?

"Marley? Did you hear what I said?" Ryder asked and I shook my head

"Sorry, no I was just lost in thought" I apologised and saw his smile falter a little, so I squeezed his hand and raced to reassure him

"Nothing bad, don't worry I just I was thinking about how things are going in glee club, I'm so glad that you are in it and I'm glad we did Grease together, I have to say that um being in Glee club has been the first time that I've ever really felt truly accepted" I explained and he nodded

"It's nice being somewhere where you know you're accepted by others. But what I was asking you is if you wanted anything to eat, my treat?" he asked and I shook my head, it was then that I noticed that we were standing in front of a late night cafe.

"You don't need to get me anything" I said and he nodded

"I know I don't need to get you anything but can I get you something, a coffee, muffin anything? It's going to be a long ride home and I don't won't you to go empty handed" he asked and I smiled

"A coffee please, and a biscuit" I said and he nodded.

"Cool I'll be back with them in a mintue". As he left I sat in one of the chairs outside the cafe and watched him through the window.

When Ryder came back out carrying our coffees and two muffins, he wore a smile on his face

"One coffee and one chocolate chip muffin for the lady" he said in a posh accent that made me giggle.

"Thanks Ryder" I said hiding my smile behind my coffee cup as he reached out for my other hand that was resting on the table.

"I've really enjoyed myself tonight, Marley. Thank you for coming with me to the game and staying with me after. I hope we can do this again sometime" he said looking at me and smiling. I lower my cup and smile freely this time

"I would like that" I said and his smile broadens

"Yes, thank you" he says as he fist bumps, I giggle at the action before digging into my muffin.
