Feli could hear the criticism about their relationship clear as day.
They're brothers, engaged, living together, and not having sex; they are basically siblings with a fancy title.
It didn't matter that they kissed or cuddled; it mattered about sexual things or they were just siblings.
Feliciano sighed as he stared at the fridge, wondering about the bitter judgement.
He finally opened the freezer and took out his homemade, chocolate gelato, and walked back in to the living room where his crying lover sat.
Someone had said something cold to his fratello about his sexuality and Italian romance again.
"I'm tying you down, Feli." His voice came out in a broken whisper; the tremor in it scared his younger brother.
"You aren't." Feli answered, truthfully.
"You can't even have sex." Lovino argued with him.
"All I want is you." Honesty was something that came easy to Feliciano.
"You can't even have all of me." Lovino stated.
"All I need is your heart and love. Anything else is extra." Feliciano had thought about this a lot since he did have urges that he ignored.
"But you want what I can't give you." The South Italian continued to argue.
"It's just that, a want. I don't need it." Feli stated.
"It's normal for you to want that, and not have this pseudo romance." Lovino was beginning to get really ticked off with his little brother's reasoning.
"Lovi, do you love me?" Feliciano asked his brother and fiance.
"Yes." Awkwardness had slowed down the single word.
"I love you as well, and that's all that matters." Feliciano smiled a smile that was full of slight sadness.
"But our relationship isn't normal, I can't even sleep with you right." Lovino argued.
"That doesn't matter." Feliciano insisted.
"Everyone tells you that you aren't a real Italian, because of me." Lovino began to cry yet again.
"I can handle a few harsh words every now and again." He wrapped his brother in his arms; this wasn't easy, but it was worth it in the end as Feli well knew.
