As Jessica held her baby, Clementine Willow Taylor, she started to think of all the times the love of her life said that the baby would be a girl. Jessica was sad that Matt wasn't there for the birth of their baby, but she knew it'd be okay as soon as he walked through that hospital door with that dumb smirk of his.
He never walked through that door.
After the night of terror on the mountain, Jessica was in urgent care for two months. Michael was easily healed and already started going with his life again as a trainer. Emily decided she would go to Stanford and become a lawyer with a large scar on her right shoulder. Ashley barely got touched physically and became a kindergarten teacher. Chris still limps after wearing a cast, but he sits at desk all day as a gaming tech anyways. Samantha, unscathed had decided to become a psychologist that analyzes potential psychopaths. And Matthew became what he always wanted to be, a star football player. While everyone had started to do things with their lives, Jessica just recently discharged from the hospital after a couple months staring at the white, dull ceiling thinking of nothing but the terrifying things she had seen down in the mines.
None of the relationships lasted after the mountain's events except for Chris and Ashley. They decided they might as well get married right now since they're bonded for life after their terrifying night. Matt and Emily split due to the distance and Matt realizing how bitchy and ungrateful she was to him. He deserved better so they parted ways. Of course new relationships arose, Mike and Sam were a happy and healthy couple, choosing to ignore the terrors and focus on each other. Matt was focused on his career as a linebacker for the Calgary Stampeders, Emily focused on studying hard for her BAR exams, and Jessica was left to do something with her new life as a survivor.
