Prologue
Ricky stood in front of Amy holding his face where Renee had punched him, he could hear Amy begin crying. And as if he didn't think could get any worst his heart broke when he saw Adrian, she looked completely broken. And this, this was his fault he'd caused this whole tailspin and officially if he hadn't been sure before totally destroyed Adrian's life.
"Ad..Adrian I swear I didn't mean.."
"Amy don't" Adrian said a calm low, near whisper of a voice.
"Adrian please you have to know…"
"Amy" Ricky tried to intervene, he could see how much Adrian was restraining herself. Which was not like Adrian at all which he knew meant she was just too hurt to fight.
"Please you just have to know I would never purposely hurt you lik…"
"AMY I SAID DON'T!" The power and anger in Adrian's voice scared both Ricky and Amy. " Don't pretend that you didn't know what would happen if you up on that stand and say the things about me. Tell them all the things that I've done…."
"No..No I swear I didn't even want to testify"
"But you did want to get back at me, for whatever the hell part you've convinced yourself I played in yours and Ricky's problems lately. Come on Amy don't look so innocent we've been playing this game long enough, but not only did you let a rapist back on the streets, but so many people were destroyed by this. Me included so I'll do something to end this once and for all" Adrian shoved a paper into Ricky's hands. "You win Amy, this is over. You've won" Adrian walked off Tears streaming down her face.
"Adrian wait, please" Ricky called after her, tears flowing from his eyes as well. He glanced down at the paper. It was restraining order against Amy Jergens and Ricky Underwood
