The Companion's Sonnet
Peaceful dreamless sleep I awaken from
As the bells of Saint John's Church chime
The hour for me to depart, now come
Can't believe it is finally time
I run to my front gate to find him there
Leaning casually against a tree
He has promised to take me anywhere
And in this moment I feel so free
He whisks me away through time and space
He's laughing gleefully as I beam
Feet clanking as we begin to race
Oh please don't let this just be another dream
My dream come true, it has been so fun
To have him take my hand and whisper, "Run!"
Another Doctor Who poem, this time a Shakespearian sonnet. What do you guys think? Reviews would be wonderful!
