Author's Notes: This is a Mimato Christmas drabble.

If anyone reading this is reading my multi-chaptered Mimato fic, Eternal, I swear I'll be continuing it soon. I was busy with finals so I couldn't really write any fan fiction. But another chapter is being worked on.

Yamato had gotten pretty good by now at sensing when his girlfriend, Mimi, had gotten a crazy idea into her head. She would get a beautiful but weird smile on her face and she had a tendency to get really hyper.

He was usually able to tell when she had something planned.

That was why he got such a shock when he walked into the apartment they shared and he saw that the entire place was covered in Christmas decorations. Multi-colored lights were strung up on the walls; there was mistletoe over the doorway; and there was a Christmas tree in a corner of the living room.

Mimi was sitting on the couch, a box of decorations in front of her, and beamed up at him as he walked towards her.

"Mimi, what's all of this for?"

She continued to smile at him. "Well, remember when you told me that after your parents got divorced, your family didn't really make a big deal out of Christmas anymore?" He nodded wearily. "And you know my family always has a big Christmas?" He nodded again. "I thought it was sad that you never really got a big Christmas so I decided to give you one!"

He stared at her.

Her smile faded. "You don't like it?" Her eyes went big and he mentally groaned; he could never resist that sad 'last puppy in the pet store' expression she sometimes got.

So, he changed the subject. "How'd you get that tree up here anyway?"

"Tai owed me a favor."

He decided not to ask about that one. He glanced at the tree one last time, and then at her. "It's not decorated."

"Yeah, I was waiting for you. I thought it'd be nice if we decorated it together. But if you don't want to-"

"No, I want to. Let's decorate."

The smile was back on her face in an instant. She grabbed him by the hand, while holding the decoration box in the other, and he found himself getting dragged over to the tree. For the next hour, Mimi was alternately putting ornaments on the tree and supervising his decorating. He rolled his eyes whenever she wasn't looking.

When they finished, Mimi pulled him back over to the couch and pulled out a DVD.

"A Christmas Carol?"

"Yeah, it's a great Christmas movie."

He decided not to argue with her; Mimi was stubborn and he didn't feel like sleeping on the couch that night. The movie started and Mimi snuggled into him, resting her head on his chest.

He smiled.

Maybe this hadn't been such a crazy idea after all.
