This is the story of a girl. This girl is like all the others, but she has a secret. This girl's life isn't normal, she lives with her mom and she sees her dad every other weekend. She has tried to escape into her own private world but always seems to get ripped away by the hate of the world. The girl is all alone in the darkness of her mind and has no one to save her. She calls out,

"Please! Someone save me! Someone love me!" but no one comes for her.

She walks alone in the darkness thinking to herself, alone, afraid. As she wonders in her lonely and quiet dark she hears soft music floating through the air. She thinks nothing of it saying it's only her imagination playing tricks on her and the music stops.

"See, nothing to get excited about… just another cruel trick being played by my mind." She says to herself looking around the dark traces of her small world. She sighs and walks on looking for her escape from the sadness and loneliness of her existence.

"Why am I here? Why do I live with this? What is the point?" at this point she feels like she has nothing else to lose, she finds a sharp rock and cuts her wrists watching the blood pool out dripping down her arm. Suddenly she hears a scream pierce through the quiet of her world and she looks up seeing another girl running to her.

"NO! Please stop! You're hurting yourself!" she looks at her scared.

"But I don't feel anything… how am I hurting myself?" the girl asks

The new girl looks down at her wrists and takes them in her hands gently. What happens next surprises the lonely girl. The girl who had shown concern hugs her tightly saying soft words.

"It will be ok, I'm here for you. I will be your friend. I know how you're feeling. Alone and helpless. Like nothing will get better and your world is collapsing around you. Like you're all alone in the dark. But open your eyes. You're not alone." The girl pulls up her jacket sleeves and shows the lonely girl thin scars marking her arms and body. She steps away and more people enter the world of the girl.

"Who are you?" the girl asks.

They answer in unison smiling. "We are just like you." They pull up their sleeves and take off their bracelets revealing scars that have faded but are reminders of the pain. The pain of being alone, helpless, and in the dark.

The first girl turns back to the lonely girl smiling. "I'm Alix, what's your name?"

The girl looks at Alix and smiles for the first time in a long time. "I'm Lilith."

Alix smiles and takes Lilith's hand. "Come on Luna. Let's go get you cleaned up."

For the first time, Lilith didn't feel alone or scared. She finally had someone to pull her out of the dark. Someone to call a friend.
