A little one shot about Mai and her taming of the great Naru-Beast.

Today was just another day at Shibuya psychic research.I,Mai Taniyama,was stuck at her(sometimes) dead-end job,doing the same dead-end tasks. It really made me feel like a office Lady;I was even being paid the same amount in wages! Today I decided to regain some of my youth that has been lost sitting around this right! Today I shall live the life of a normal girl. But, only one thing stood in the way of my fun.
The Naru-Beast.
The Naru-Beast is the most vile and evil being in the whole world. With fur like the blackest void,and eyes of midnight;With an ego so big it simply cannot be contained. Many have gone to face it but only few have come back my words,mortals and gods alike! I shall prevail against the beast and tame it with my own two hands!For I know it's weakness. It's weakness comes from the leaves of the legendary Earle grey plant. When said leaves are steeped for a certain amount of time in boiled water,a drink is concocted that is to him what alcohol is to us.i
With the concoction in hand,I entered the lair of the beast. Waiting for it to strike.
"I have come for thee,vile Naru-Beast! Show thyself to me! I have what it is you seek!" I shouted into the darkness.
"Who told you to come in here?"A cold voice hissed. I turned to where it came from and saw a pair of icy cold demons eyes staring back at me.
"Naru-beast! It is I, Mai of the Taniyama people! and I have come to slay you to gain my freedom!"
The Naru-beasts eyes stared at me,unwavering. I stared back fearlessly. I was to return to the world of the light victoriously! I will be VICTORIOUS!
"Mai?" The Beast asked me. "Are you,by any chance, high?"
I smirked. "Beast! the only high I'm experiencing are the highs of victory."
"okay.."It paused. "I am going to go with yes then."
Hmph,this mindless chitchat was wearing thin on my patience.
"Silence beast! I have what it is you seek, the juice of the Earle Grey plant! I give you this in exchange for release! Day and night I am a to you by the shackles of contract. but no more! I wish for freedom."
The beast sighed. "yes Mai,you may take the rest of the day give me my tea."
I quickly placed the concoction in its hand-paws and left the lair of the beast.
Upon my reentry into the world of the light I found my friends and family there waiting to celebrate my Victory. I smiled brightly at them and grabbed my jacket.
"Friends! I have tamed the great Naru-Beast! Gather your things!For tonight we dine out!"
They all stared at me oddly as I beckoned them towards the door. Finally it must have clicked to them because they all began to gather their things.
"Thats the spirit men! Onward!" I commanded as we left. I was so happy I'd hardly noticed the Naru-beast leave it's lair.
" She really needs to stop read my books on greek mythology."
