Disclaimer: Fairy Tail is not mine. I am not a mangaka. I cannot draw very well. I apoligize, my friends.
Eh... Well, after deleting a majority of my stories, I've decided to go over this one again.
It's received positive feedback, but I only want to change a few things, don't worry.
Natsu had heard from almost everyone at the guild that Gray had finally, finally agreed to go on a date with Juvia. Everyone, especially the water user, was ecstatic.
Except Natsu.
Why was Natsu not ecstatic, you ask? Well...
"Ne, Lucy..." Natsu walked up to Lucy, who was calmly leaning back in her chair, trying to get over her writer's block. She looked up.
"Huh? Oh, hi, Natsu. What's up?" Lucy looked at him, glad for the break.
With what happened next, she almost regretted not ignoring him.
"What's a 'date'?"
Lucy almost laughed at the question before she realized he was genuinely confused. She mentally facepalmed. It was so like Natsu so ask.
"Well..." she began, trailing off. The celestial mage had no idea how to explain such a concept to someone like Natsu. Even after formulating and writing so many romance stories, her mind still halted when it came to explaining such things.
"Hm... It's kinda like... When you take a person you like out for something enjoyable, or to somewhere enjoyable..." Lucy shrugged.
"Like... food or something?" Natsu suggested, looking down at her.
Lucy smiled; surprised that Natsu could come to a conclusion like that. "Yeah, like that! That's a good example, you can take the person you like out to dinner or something..." She paused. Was her pink haired friend going to ask Lisanna out or something? Lucy really hoped not.
"Someone you like..." Natsu mused. "I like... Mira... Do I take her out on a date?"
Lucy giggled. "No, no, unless you like her as more than a friend, of course." What, did the fire dragon slayer have a thing for white-haired girls or something? Maybe she should get her hair dyed.
Natsu cocked his head in confusion, and Lucy averted her eyes as to not die from his cuteness.
"What does that feel like?"
"Well..." Great. Now, Lucy had to explain crushes to him.
"When you are around someone you like more than a friend, you probably feel warmer inside..." At Natsu's expression, Lucy hurried on. "No, more than you usually do."
"How's that work?"
The blonde woman sighed. "Well, you've gotta feel... attracted to that person's... maybe, appearance, personality, just... an attraction. I can't really explain it."
Natsu nodded slowly, as if he got it. "Oh... ok..."
Lucy was confused as to whether he understood or not. "Yeah... so, is that all?"
"No, I think I have another question..."
Lucy sighed. "Ok, shoot."
"Will you go on a date with me?"
"What?!"
Well, well, well.
I fixed that up easier than I fixed all the rest of the stories...
Eh? How's it now?
