Disclaimer: Don't own and never will. Got it? No? Well then, I have this great get rich quick scheme…

AN: For some reason, this popped into my head and demanded to be written. Don't ask. Just don't.

He was kissing her.

Marinette stared in shattered disbelief as she watched her crush Adrien passionately kiss Chloe as though his life depended on it. Chloe for her part seemed equally engaged, her hands pulling him closer.

From their usual place, Alya sat recording the scene on her phone as though this was something good. Nino was giving Adrien a silent cheer and Sabrina was practically dancing in the corner, her eyes glued to the scene.

Miss Caline Bustier stood there with a look of approval, as though she had been waiting for this. Marinette could practically feel it, as though no other girl would be good enough for Adrien. Rose was gushing happily at the sight and even Juleka was smiling.

Marinette felt the world spinning and fell to the ground to throw up and…

Beep, beep, beep!

"Blah!" she shouted as she suddenly sat bolt upright in her bed, knocking Tikki flying.

"Marinette!? Are you okay?" Tikki asked, hovering right in front of her and Marinette groaned.

"Just a bad dream," she said after a few moments silence. She paused and looked out of the window. "Sorry Tikki, are you okay?"

"I'm fine Marinette," the little kwami replied, before looking Marinette in the eye. "It's you I'm worried about."

"Just a bad dream Tikki," she paused for a moment and looked at the posters of Adrien dotting her walls. "A nightmare."

"About Adrien?" Tikki asked curiously and Marinette nodded. Tikki flew up to her chosen's face and cuddled her. "It's just a nightmare Marinette. It won't come true, I'm sure of it!"

"Yeah…" Marinette stared off into the distance. "Just a nightmare really."

She just wished she could convince herself of that.

AN: Okay, this basically evolved from a rant I remember seeing (I wish I could remember the fanfic it came from) where Chloe complains that us Fanfiction writers don't ship her with her beloved Adrien…so I thought I'd do it. Sort of.
