Alucard had been watching her for a while now much to her chagrin. She wasn't fragile.
She could take care of herself. It was painfully obvious that he thought otherwise.
The vampire king had once again ordered Pip to be her unofficial bodyguard on pain of terrible death.
Bernadette had agreed immediately. The fallout had not been pretty.
Anne knew that he loved her and just wanted to protect her. She was his and his alone.
However none of this excused him from going over her head by going straight to Sir Integra who could understand what Alucard felt.
She too had fallen in love but had lost him during a raid on the manor.
No one liked talking about the accident that caused these current events to occur but everyone knew it had to be discussed eventually.
She now stood over the bemused vampire, glaring coldly at him.
"I want you to leave Pip alone! I don't need a damn babysitter when I am capable of taking care of myself.' Anne snapped angrily.
She was tired of being treated like she was china. It was now why she had decided to confront her crazy lover.
He simply raised an eyebrow. He loved it when she used her fiery temper.
A much better aphrodisiac than the smell of death itself and that was saying a lot of things considering who was being talked about.
Alucard said "You know my answer on that. The Frenchman-" Anne interrupted with a sharp, low growl. Stiffening, he silenced her with a nasty glare.
The no-life king remarked coldly "Do not interrupt me when I'm speaking! I am only trying to protect you but you are making this more difficult than it should be!"
His voice had raised to a high angry tone much to her surprise. Alucard rarely spoke in a higher tone to her.
She normally took his advice on consideration but recently she had gotten tired of following him like a lost puppy.
He then continued "Well no more! If you keep this up, I will chain you inside my coffin and let you out whenever I deem fit."
Her jaw dropped open in outrage. How dare he threaten to do that?
She wasn't his damned slave! Alucard noticed her usual sulk and sighed in irritation.
She always had to have her way; his Anne.
His lover proceeded to blurt out "I am not weak though! Pip is no more skilled than I! You trained me yourself, love, and have often said I could easily surpass any of the mercenaries. Pip isn't able to keep up with me. No offense to the kind man but I speak the truth!"
She crossed her arms and prepared to go on another rant when he abruptly replied smoothly 'I agree."
Anne suddenly grinned in triumph, thinking she had won this argument. Without further ado, she had climbed onto his lap and began nibbling at his lips just like he loved it.
"I'll send the Police Girl instead." Alucard mumbled against her lips.
From two floors above, Sir Integra could've sworn she heard her servant's mad laughter mixed with crude language coming from the assassin's big mouth.
She sighed and took a drag of her cigar before muttering "The idiot never quits, does he?"
