I don't own Wolf's Rain, although I'd love to!
I just finished the series and was so emotional it's unbelievable!
I believe they all met up again at the end, and reunited to form their new pack again )
But anyhoo...
Utopia, Fairyland, Heaven, Promised Land, Bliss, Cloud Nine.
There are a lot of places that Humans and Wolves alike believe to be a Paradise; A number of terms or names, express ones opinion to show their dreams. And some wolves have to follow that dream, through their senses or their instinct. Or even both, but either way a wolf usually finds its way there. Going through hardships, and sometimes grief and tests of strength, but some wolves are determined enough to get through everything that is thrown their way. To pounce, defend, bite or even kill, a wolf will do what it has too to survive, and to protect its pack.
It was finally dark and a full moon shone over abandoned lands, where no humans would notice five wolves basking in all its glory. Their full strength reaching its highest, making the wolves seem to feed off the natural light. Each of them had their own roles within their pack, but together they were strong, and practically unstoppable.
There's Kiba, the white wolf that was once a lone wolf. He's the leader more or less of the pack, and is willing to risk his life, and to do anything for the pack. He had a tragic past, his own family and friends burnt to death in front of his own eyes, leaving him the only survivor. From growing up on his own, and being raised with humans until he found out he could no longer exist beside the ones he'd once called family, he had become braver than most wolves. And had more determination and courage than those of the pack had ever seen a wolf have.
Then there is Tsume. He had a rough outside, and what seemed a thick shell. Snapping at anyone who tried to get too close, but underneath there was someone who would die for anyone he cared about. And he shone through in the end. At the beginning he seemed uncaring, and selfish but he grew to enjoy the company of the ones he's now proud to call the members of their pack.
Also there's Toboe, the runt of them all. He's the youngest, but is the glue that held them together. As a child, his innocence may seem to consume him, but for a young wolf he showed courage not a lot of other wolves his age could have. He looks up to Tsume hugely, and admires him, convincing himself and Tsume alike that he is a good wolf. He fights to protect his friends and also keeping peace within their pack which was a hard thing to do but he took on the responsibility. And he succeeded magnificently.
Another is Hige. He is a laid back sort of guy, and takes whatever life throws at him, although he quite enjoys his food. At first he seemed to be immature and have a huge sense of adventure, but as the pack got further into danger he matured, and fought wilder to do anything to protect the others. He is very close to Blue, and has a very keen sense of smell, which helps the pack in quite a few situations.
And finally there's Blue. More than meets the eye, she is half-wolf and half-dog. Before she realised she was half-wolf she helped her owner hunt down wolves, but after a flower maiden told her of her destiny, she realised truly who she is. She bravely fights alongside the boys, and proves to be more than just a pretty face.
They'd spent a huge chunk of their former lives, searching for Paradise, and one by one they had each given their life for it. But the world had been reborn, and so had they, once again being reunited. Forming the pack they had built up, and were now living freely.
Well as freely as a wolf could.
