"My name is Terial Kage, and I am a werewolf. My kind have always been persecuted and we have always felt sorrow."

A scene flashes in front of your eyes.

//Two werewolves are fleeing from a human with a gun. The silver female wolf suddenly jerks back, as if thrown back by a powerful force. Blood blossoms from a wound in her thigh. A silver bullet glints from the hole. From the wound, red seems to radially expand. The black male wolf runs like lighting, but is also shot, with the same results.//

Another scene appears.

//A black-haired boy cries, while a lady tries to comfort him. He pushes her away and resumes weeping.//

Cobalt blue eyes glimmer under a fringe of black strands of hair.

"We have always known sadness."

Crystalline tears fall from sorrowful eyes.

"It is bred into our blood, into our heritage. We all have our masks. Externally, we might appear cheerful and oblivious to events around us, but internally, we might be crying."

An eerie glow appears in blue eyes.

"Can you tell?"

Neon blue eyes narrow.

"No, you can't. You're only human."

This last word spoken as if poison.

"You're mortal, not like us. You aren't hunted down because they think you are a threat to society. You haven't experienced the pain of being lonely. You're human."

Glowing blue eyes fade back into darkness, the shadows embracing the form as if she was a long lost lover. A faint whisper floats through the air, to your ears.

"You are only human. . ."

Rain steadily pattered on the roof, waking Remus J. Lupin out of precious sleep. He awoke slowly, gathering the sheets around his waist while gazing out the bedroom window. The landscape outside had turned dreary and bleak. Desolate and dead. He lowered his gaze quickly, eyes full of weariness. Today's weather reminded him of rather. . . unpleasant memories.
