Star was having a nervous breakdown.
Her cheeks were red and her hands were sweaty. She was slightly trembling due to the closeness between her and Marco. They were going to the DVD store to rent some movies for movie night. Who knew it could bae this nerve wracking?
Marco was also having problems. He realized his feelings for a certain princess from another dimension days ago. He was blushing madly and was trying to prevent himself from squealing like a little girl.
They were in a bus. They decided that they were too tired of walking and used the bus instead. However, it was so crowded that Marco and Star had to stand so close to each other. It almost seemed like they were hugging.
"Sorry about this." Marco finally blurted out after a long moment of awkward silence.
Star looked up. Her face was so close to Marco's. She blushed redder and looked away. "It's not your fault, you know."
Marco laughed a little. "If I knew it was going to be like this-"
"You would've decided to walk instead of being this close to me?" Star said.
Marco's eyes widened. Star just gasped and cover her mouth with her hands. She blushed deeply, realizing how stupid it was for her to say that.
The bus finally came to a stop. Star walked passed Marco and hopped off the bus. Marco simply followed.
Star acted like nothing happened. She chatted with him cheerfully. So cheerfully that it was suspicious to Marco.
They finally reached the DVD store and decided on the movies they wanted to rent. Star wanted to try watching Korean dramas and Marco just let her. She was acting excited, although it was just a Korean drama.
The walk home was filled with Star's blabbering. She talked non stop and it seemed way too unnatural for Marco. He thought about the events in the bus. He suddenly grabbed her hand and forced Star to stop walking.
Star made a confused look. "What is it, Marco? We're going to miss the bus if we don't hurry."
Marco lifted up his head. He stared into Star's eyes for a while.
Star was just confused. "Earth to Marco?"
"Star, I love you."
Star's mouth fell open. She blushed and made a complicated face, like she didn't know what face she should be making.
"What's this all of a sudden?!" Star shouted, still blushing madly. Marco was also blushing but he was also smiling.
After a few seconds of Star's surprised reaction, she simply turned to him and smiled. "I love you too."
Marco grinned and interwined her fingers with hers. Star jolte a little but soon relaxed and squeezed his hand.
"I'm kinda hoping the bus would be crowded this time." Star said while smiling.
"Yeah, that would be expected." Marco said, smiling back.
Suddenly, an axe fell from the sky and cut Marco's body in half.
The blood splattered around and Marco's hand was the only thing left since Star was still holding it.
Star's smile turned into a look of despair. The body was on the ground next to hers. Marco's organs could be seen. Star was still holding his left hand, although his remaining parts of the body was lying on the ground.
Star was in a state of shock. Her mind was processing had happened. Marco's blood got on her face and clothes.
Before she could do anything, a second axe fell from the sky and cut Star's body in half.
