Okat this is my first attempt on Naruto fanfiction and I cannot get my head off these sweet cutie pies! There are not much of Inojin fanfictions so I need to add one! This is kind of AU maybe, I don't really sure too, but you get the picture. General disclaimer apply. I don't own Naruto and the characters.

And thank you just a girl with a mission for the pointers of mistakes I've made before! I've changed the words a little bit :x

Maybe, at a first glance, he was nothing more than just a pretty boy who spent too much time making sure his blonde ponytail was in the right style.

And at first glance, she was nothing more than an uptight girl who tried too hard to excel in every little thing that happened in her life.

Thankfully, both of them decided to take a second look on each other.

At the second glance, she could notice that he smelled a little too sweet for a boy their age. Her nostrils could notice a slight hint of rose, combined with musky fragrance of lily and other kinds of flowers which she could not mention or just too unfamiliar with her knowledge of flora world. This little fact of him confused her, for she was extremely familiar with the fact that boys should smell less pleasant than girls, unless the masculine gender had something wrong in their upbringing.

At the second glance, he could notice that she frowned whenever she took a glance on anybody. A small wrinkle would form on her nose and her eyebrows would unite in the middle of her broad forehead. He wondered whether she was really that unfriendly with others like people said or she just did not know how to express her hidden friendliness to people she wanted to be close to.

She decided to prove that he was really one of the girly boys like ones she heard from a group of gossipy girls. She asked what his name was and was surprised when she got his reply. He use incredibly polite words which boys his age would not think of using especially when talking to girls. In spite of it, his voice was deep yet calming, the type of voice which would tell you that everything was okay and you could trust it. No hint of sassiness or girly boy attitude like the gossipy girls described.

He was still wondering how he should open the conversation when suddenly she was the one who asked for his name first. He was frozen for the first seconds after she put an question mark on her sentence, for she was beyond he had been expecting. Her face still showed the frown, that was for sure. However, her voice was not all cold that he would think of her. He could sense the tingling of the nightingale when the cheerful voice hit his eardrums. Her voice described that she actually had a pleasant presence of personality despite of the frown which told people to back off.

The next glances were filled with exchanging of names, boring praises to the beautiful weather of the day, and small yet careful building of conversation consisted of general information about each other.

When they parted after a two hours full of conversation, they promised each other that they would meet again really soon. They both knew that it was the beginning of something good.

They were glad that they looked past the first glance of each other, for it was the beginning of thousands of glances they would share.
