Disclaimer: Sadly, I don't own Final Fantasy. If I did, there would probably be more yaoi, and Auron wouldn't be dead.
AN: Gah, I don't know where this came from... I mean, not only is it het, but it's a pairing that at first I was like "OMG EEWWW NO WAYY!"... But reading fanfiction at like one in the morning comes to no good, and now I'm addicted. Anyway, this is my first time writing Aurikku, so be nice. I haven't played FFX in ages, so the characters are quite likely OOC, but feel free to criticise in a review. Reviews make Le Soleil shine. (If you don't get that, you need to pay attention in french class.) Alright, enough of my rambling, on with the show!
--Sake--
Auron noticed Rikku staring at him as he took a sip from the jug he carried at his hip. Yuna and her Guardians had stopped in Macalania Woods for the night, and the Al Bhed girl had been staring ever since the two of them had been designated as the first watch shift. Somewhat unnerved by the swirly green eyes boring into him, Auron finally spoke.
"Do you require something, or do you just have nothing better to do with your time than stare?"
Rikku just giggled at him, and asked sweetly,
"Auuuronnn... What's in your jug? I mean, you're always carrying that thing around, so what's in it that's so important? Is it, like, some kind of potion to hide the fact that you're secretly a woman or something? I'm pretty sure that's what Tidus is taking..."
She giggled again. The older guardian sighed. Of course, it would be something random like that... It -was- Rikku, after all. He gave her an irritated one-eyed glare, before grudginly responding.
"For your information, it's sake. And no, I'm not secretly a woman, though how you came up with that idea I'm not sure I truly want to know. Any more of your questions?"
She grinned and shook her head, her blonde tressed catching the firelight in a way that gave the appearance of a golden halo of light encircling her face. Auron mentally shook himself for thinking this. She was, what, 15? He was 20 years her senior, plus he was dead. This little infatuation was not healthy. Auron shrugged and took a final sip of sake, before returning the jug to it's place at his hip. Rikku made a face at him.
"Ewie, you actually drink that stuff?"
Auron just stared at her with his good eye, and she continued in a matter-of-fact voice.
"-I- don't drink. It's bad for you, it rots your liver, don't-cha-know."
Rikku gave him a sly smile, and edged a bit closer to him be the fire.
"I do like the taste of it, though..."
Before Auron could respond, Rikku had closed the distance between them and pressed her lips to his. He smiled into her kiss as he felt her tongue lap at his lower lip, obviously enjoying the taste of the sake he had been drinking.
At last, Auron thought, a benefit of alcoholism.
--End--
AN: Wow, that was random... And really bad. I don't really know where this came from, but I'm totally addicted to this pairing... Anyway, please review and tell me what you think!
