Jane pushed the play button on her iPod hard. She desperately needed to get away from the police station. Everything there reminded Jane of her girlfriend Maura. Maura had taken some days off of work to recover from the flu.
Jane silently snuck into Maura's place and shut the door behind her.
Maura was in the kitchen making some soup and squealed with excitement when Jane whipped her around to kiss her.
"I missed you so much today!" Jane said holding Maura tightly.
"I wish you could have stayed home with me" Maura said. They shared another kiss.
After about 15 minutes they were sitting on Maura's couch snuggled close. Their empty soup bowls were sitting on the coffee table next to each other. When Maura went to reach for the tv remote Jane snatched it up.
"Hey!" Maura went to grab the remote from her hand but Jane pulled away.
"Jane give it to me." Maura reached for it again. Jane giggled and hopped off the couch. Maura frowned and got up from her comfy position.
"Come on Jane please give it!" Maura pleaded. The season finale of Bones was on in five minutes and Maura didn't want to miss it.
"I'll give it to you if…" Jane said letting Maura wonder what the catch was.
"What Jane? Please I'll do anything!" Maura was on her knees begging now.
"Anything?" Jane asked.
"Yes! I will just please give the remote to me Jane." Jane reluctantly handed over the tv remote.
"Now you have to go to work with me tomorrow." Jane sat down. She was pleased with herself now that she knew she wasn't going to be lonely at work.
Maura just let out a soft groan and sat next to Jane.
They spent the rest of the night in each other's arms stealing kisses during commercials. They fell asleep with smiles on their faces knowing they were together forever and nothing could come between them.
