Time Magic
Chapter one
The TARDIS suddenly jolted to a halt. A dark haired girl lifted her head up from the floor. She was in her teenage years, with hazel eyes and a sparkling smile. She looked around, and spotted a tall thin man sprawled out on one of the railings. She grinned and said, "I never knew you were this good at landing doc!"
The tall man straightened, brushed down his suit, and retorted, "It would've been easier if you had stopped talking. You distracted me!" The doctor flashed his cocky grin and walked up to the controls. "I don't think it was either of our faults. I think the TARDIS picked up on some anomaly. Shall we go explore then?" He skipped to the door, thrust it open and shouted, "Get your jacket Lydia! We're in Scotland!"
Lydia wrapped her arms tightly around herself and shivered. She blew on her hands in an effort to keep them warm. "I swear I recognise this place!"
The doctor spun round, "what do you mean?"
"Well, it's like day jar vu, you know… hold on, I think we're at Hogwarts!"
"What, how could that be?"
Lydia closed her eyes and thought hard. "I'm pretty sure. Look, this way leads to the forbidden forest. If we go this way, we should get to the castles main gates. "Lydia grabbed the doctor and dragged him into the tangle of trees, bushes and undergrowth.
"How do you know this so well?" The doctor stopped, his eyebrows raised and his hands on his hips. "You sneaked your Harry Potter DVDS and books into the TARDIS didn't you?"
Lydia didn't answer.
"You did! How did you get them past me?" The doctor was amused. That girl really was impartial to her favourite things. The TARDIS was already strewn with books and DVDS. He had tried to watch and read what she liked, and they were good, but the doctor just got bored of them quickly.
"Doctor, I think we're there" Lydia whispered. The doctor whipped out his sonic screwdriver and gasped. "BRILLIANT! Look, this place is buzzing with energy. All of that hubbly, bubbly, super, duper FANTASTIC magic!"
"I like your choice of words," smirked Lydia, "now come on, why not use that wand of yours and get us in. I want to meet Harry Potter!"
Inside the gates, the doctor kept rambling on about how he had never thought that such a place had existed. I got irritating for Lydia, but she didn't say anything. This was just the doctor's way of appreciating things. They shut the gates and turned around to face the towering castle. It was gothic style and very majestic. It took Lydia's breath away just looking at the huge castle, unable to believe that she was seeing this for real life.
"Doctor, I just had a thought. There are charms around the school which make muggles see this castle as a dangerous ruin. If we can see the castle as it is, then does that mean that we're magic?"
The doctor paused to think, which was highly unusual, then shrugged, "I don't know, you're the expert in this field, I'm just tagging along."
"Oh, well then, you had better listen to me."
"Alright, lead the way commander Lydia." The doctor mocked and strode ahead, Lydia tailing behind.
