It was early morning when Jace's Mother burst into his bedroom, raging about some forgotten chore, misplaced item, or the ever growing pile of dirty Clothes in the corner of his room. "JACE ALEXANDER ROSE GET UP THIS INSTANT!" was the first thing I heard before I felt the chill in the house from a window left open. -Ah, shit- I thought as his small but ever so angry mother dumped a bowl of marbles from the freezer into his bed. " Ah! What the hell, mom!" I tried to roll away but the marbles just rolled to the center of the bed, following me like an inescapable Blizzard attack from an Articuno. "I know I have told you a million times not to track mud and snow inside! There is a doormat for a reason!" she shouted as she started throwing things into big brown boxes. -Oh yeah! Today's the day I finally move into my apartment!- I hopped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to get ready. A few hours later we were driving to my new apartment where the moving pokemon had already unloaded everything into my apartment according to the floor plans that had been arranged. I unlocked the door and stepped inside. Brand new furniture mixed with all my personal belongings from home decorated the walls and shelves. It was quite a spacious place and I got it cheap on account of my mother knowing the owner from high school. After settling in my mother came back over and said she had a housewarming gift for me. As she handed me a rather large and heavy box,wrapped in pokeball wrapping paper, I couldn't help but smile. My mom is a tough lady, but she really cares about me. "Open it, dummy!" she said. I ripped of the paper and tore open the box to reveal a brown pokemon egg with orange-ish waves on the bottom. "Is this a Vulpix egg, mom?" "Sure is, I got it from your boss at the daycare. I'm proud of you for the way you've grown up, son. Just keep this place nice and tidy". All of a sudden the egg started glowing, then before I knew it, a small little fluff ball was pouncing towards me "Pix!" the newly hatched Vulpix squealed, as it nuzzled against my neck. I let out my Espeon and Shinx to meet their new friend. A few hours later we were all four snuggled into the couch watching some home makeover show. I left the three of them there as I made my way to my bedroom and fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed.
-Poor Jace, I'm sure he's tired from all this moving. Maybe now that we're out of his mother's sight, I can finally let him know how much I care about him... maybe in the morning- Espeon thought to herself drifting back sleep.
