The Ring Box
It was always there.
Kept in the darkest corner of her mind.
The question, a question of her sanity and willpower.
Could she really give up?
Taking the it, opening it, opening the possibility – that would break her, the very act was somehow admitting that she wasn't enough.
That she was weak.
And she couldn't bear that.
But still she kept it. Kept it, and didn't touch it.
Until now.
Riza Hawkeye sat with her back against the headboard, the thin covers pulled up to cover her bare chest. The moonlight filtered in through a gap in the curtains, decorating her husband's blond locks with traces of silver.
Unheeding of her lack of attire, she slipped silently from the bed and the room making her way to stare out a window that faced north. The moon stared back at her, full and solitary in the night sky.
A sob escaped her, the only accompaniment to the rivers of tears flowing down her cheeks as she knelt on the cold stone floor.
"I'm sorry…
I'm sorry Colonel
I-I can't follow you anymore…"
The moonlight glistened once more, this time highlighting the bands around her finger; the chains she had willingly accepted. The chains that pulled her off the path he walked...
"I…just can't …wait for you anymore
Colonel"
There you have it; my first ficcie*wraps up crying Riza and snuggles her*. It's a little obscure. It's meant to be.
Although for some stupid reason I can't have the stupid lines stay seperated by 2 ENTERbuttons, it just won't stick!
*Riza starts hiccuping, author starts rocking the newly chibi-ed character and patting her*
And yes while I am a MAJOR Royai fan, I'm more of a Riza-Hawkeye-Kicks-ASS! fan
Riza:*hic* I do kick ass don't I?
WitW: Yes, and that's what I love about you chibi-Riza
Riza: *pulls out a gun and points it at the reader* So review or I'll shoot you where you better hope it grows back.
WitW: *in -Oh-Mi-God-This-IS-AWE-SOOOME- voice* SeE WhAT i MEaN? *makes crazy maniacal fangirl face and huggles Riza tighter*
Please review, it gives me new delirium highs on which SMUT IS FORMED.
