Prologue:

It is still in the old dark oak forest. Crickets can be heard chirping their little songs. The mammals of the night are scurrying around the forest floor looking for food before the sunrises in a few minutes. In the middle of the old oak forest is a large clearing filled with grass and flowers. In the dark, the flowers look like black roses. The wind softly blows through the clearing making the flowers sway gently. To the left of the clearing, a tall dark figure stands impatiently waiting.

Suddenly, with a soft breeze of the wind another dark figure appears on the other end of the clearing. The figure looks taller than the one on the left and is more built up.

"You're late." The dark figure to the left says with a deep gravelly voice.

"Fashionably late just for you, Malachi." The figure to the left replies with a grin.

"Did you kill the girl yet?" Malachi asks with a dark look.

"I will not kill her Malachi. If killing her is what I must do to become a dark angel then I won't do it."

"Why not? It's not like she really cares about you Eli. She is just acting like she cares about you so that you won't hurt her. Deep down, she is terrified of you and wants to only run away." Malachi states.

"She trusts me."

"No she doesn't. The only thing keeping her from running away from you is her fear. She knows that if she runs away that you are going to kill her."

"I'm not going to kill her Malachi! She won't run away from me because she cares too much about me to leave. If she wanted to leave she would have done it already." Eli empathized through clenched teeth.

There was a silence between the two of them before Malachi disappears. Eli sighs a sigh of relief just as Malachi appears behind him.

"If you won't kill her, then I will." He threatens in Eli's ear. Eli turns around instantly and finds himself standing alone in the clearing.

Eli looks around trying to find Malachi but becomes unsuccessful.

"You're not going to touch her." Eli says before disappearing from the clearing.

In the old dark oak forest, the crickets have become silent. The mammals of the night have gone to bed. As the sun slowly starts to rise, all that can be heard in the forest is Malachi's deep dark laughter.
