Tears ran down my pale face.

I felt my body fall to the sidewalk.

I wrapped my arms around my legs. How stupid was I to wear shorts instead of pants like I was told.

My arms were covered in goose bumps.

I heard footsteps come near me. As quick as I could I wiped off my face so I wouldn't look horrible.

A hand grabbed my shoulder and turned me around.

He smiled at me. I just looked at the ground. He probably sensed my pain inside and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around him and cried into his chest since he was taller than me.

I made myself stop crying and pulled away.

"Did you that you look beautiful even with tears running down your face?" he asked me.

I looked at him in surprise. "Jason. What did you just say?" I asked him. Jason's eyes widened.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that out loud. You're my brothers girlfriend so-" he started but I cut him off.

"No I'm not." I told him. He looked confused. "Anya. Aren't you dating Shane though?" Jason asked me. I shook my head and wiped away a tear that fell from my eyes.

I saw his eyes soften and he opened his mouth to say something but I didn't hear what he said because I took off.

I could hear him yell my name. "Anya. Come back. I'm sorry," Jason yelled.

I ran as fast as I could. Finally I reached my destination. My house. I ran inside and to my room to put on some red sweats and a Purdue sweatshirt.

Once I changed I went outside and walked to the park near my house.

I could see someone on one of the swings so I got closer. It was Jason.

As quiet as possible I sat in the swing next to him. He looked up at me.

I stared into his dark brown chocolate eyes with my light blue ones.

"Hey," I said trying to break the silence.

"I'm so sorry for saying what I said earlier. But I have one question. What happened to you and Shane?" he asked me.

"I found him cheating on me. It didn't matter. I wasn't really in love with him as much as I thought I was," I told Jason.

He stood up and paced a few minutes. It looked like he was fighting with himself about something. Finally he stopped pacing and looked at me.

"Anya. I know you just broke up with my brother but I need to get this out before I lose my courage and never tell you," Jason said. I nodded my head for him to go on.

He took a deep breath before saying something. I couldn't hear what he said. "Can you say that again," I asked him. "I like you, Anya," Jason said.

I was shocked a little but not completely.

"I kinda like you too," I told him. I watched a smile cover his face.

"Will you go out with me?" he asked. My mouth dropped open. "I can't," I told him.

I got up and started walking away but he stopped me. "Why not? I mean I like you and you like me so why can't we give it a try?" Jason asked me.

I decided to tell him the truth. It was now or never.

"Because I'm scared," I whispered. "Of what?" he asked me.

I ran my hand through my brown hair.

"I'm scared of falling deeper in love," I whispered again.

"With who?" Jason asked. I looked up into his eyes.

Quickly I gave him a small kiss and pulled away. "With you," I said.

Then before he could respond I ran like the wind back home.

This was something I was just thinking about. Jason/Kevin is my favorite person from Connect Three/JB. Please review and check out my story Lake and review that one too.
