Project L.O.K.I.

"How is the core J? Is he okay?"

"Properly encoded and fully operative, sir. I do not believe you should call it a he though. It is not the real person sir."

"I call you he and you're not real either, don't get jealous J. Come on, rise and shine boy!" Tony called to his latest project. It had taken him a little over a year to make and perfect... Now was the time to see if he really worked.

"I'm not jealous sir, DUMM-E on the other hand…" Jarvis trailed off as raven hair slowly moved, and a pale face looked up. Green eyes bright with life as they locked with brown. The project stood up slowly, its movements that of a child learning to walk for the first time.

"Oh my god… It works. Wait of course it works, I built him." Tony spoke in awe as it made its way to Tony. The armour it wore tripped it up and he landed in Tony's arms. Tony's arms that held him close, almost desperately close as he whispered in its ear.

"Easy boy, it's okay, you don't have to try and walk yet." Tony pulled up and chair and carefully sat the project in it. It offered a small smile, looking at Tony in adoration. He was his creator after all.

"Can you tell me your name?" Tony asked gently, resting his hand on the projects knee. "Can you introduce yourself to me?"

The project looked at him, its thin lips opening and parting soundlessly for a moment before it replied in the voice Tony only ever heard in his dreams. The voice that had haunted him for so long after New York.

"I am L.O.K.I. sir, and I have been given life by you Master Stark."

Tony grinned, he couldn't believe it had actually worked. Loki was here... With him finally.

"I love him already J… He's perfect. Just like the real thing." Tony moved a lock of hair out of L.O.K.I.'s face and cupped its cheek gently.

"Sir I am worried about what it will do to you. He is not the real Loki-"

"Well it's the closest I've got to him!" Tony shouted, cutting JARVIS off. L.O.K.I. winced at the loud noise, curling up fearfully on the chair. Tony looked at him softly, moving he picked it up bridal style, carrying it out of the lab.

"Shhhh, its okay L.O.K.I. I'm sorry I shouted, J just hit a sore spot…" He explained and he put the project in the middle of a bed that was made in a guest bedroom. "Try and save your power, I've still got some things to take care of."

Tony kissed its forehead as its eyes closed and its skin dulled with the power down. He went to his computer and updated the log he was making on the progress on Project L.O.K.I.
