Waifs and Strays
Sam noticed Castiel fussing over a large cardboard box by the bunker's entrance. "What you got there?" he asked, startling the angel.
Castiel lifted the lid of the box with a guilty expression. "It was abandoned outside."
Sam peered in to reveal a puppy of indeterminate breed with an expression he recognized from the mirror as a pre-teen.
"I know how Dean feels about dogs."
Sam glanced at Castiel with his back-to-front tie and stuck-up collar, then over to where Charlie and Kevin were arguing about a minor rule in Carcassonne.
"Don't worry," laughed Sam. "Dean's a sucker for strays."
