Emma and Donna were window-shopping at the mall when they came across a girl with light blonde hair and grey eyes. "Hey Alyssa," Donna replied, "Heard you got suspended from school for vandalizing with non-polluting spray paint."
"Yeah," Alyssa replied, "I thought I would try to express my feelings for Ashley Faris by making fun of her, Anime Style."
"Your quite and eco anime artist too." Emma replied, "I saw your pics online to see how important wildlife is."
"There you are" shouted an old lady with her hair in a ponytail.
She was Alyssa maternal grandmother, "Lucy" "Come one," she said, "I want to get some new pipes for the kitchen sink."
"And in other news," the reporter said on a TV in the appliance shop, "Dr. James Dunbar is visiting Philadelphia for the annual dolphin expo at Adventure Aquarium."
"That James" Lucy recalled, "Always studying dolphins."
Alyssa was wondering how does she know so much about him, "He's an oceanographer" Grandma Lucy explained, "And your father"
"What?" Alyssa asked,
"How much did your mother told you about your father," Lucy asked.
"He was just some guy he met in the Florida Keys," Alyssa answered.
"They were together for 3 years" Lucy explained, "He wrote to her letters, but she never opened them. She wanted to start a family, but he didn't"
"This sounded a lot like Imelda before Hector left," Donna whispered.
"She wanted to lie instead of making you wonder why he wasn't there." Grandma Lucy explained, "It a shame that my daughter died 2 weeks after your 13th birthday."
She also figured that it was about time they meet each other for the first time ever. Also, Donna and Emma decided to go with her just in case.
Note: Alyssa's father's last name is changed from Hawk to Dunbar to avoid confusion of Emma's surname.
