I don't own Joukamichi no Dandelion, nor any of the characters. This is just a really short little quick thing I wanted to do. I emphasize "short" here. Got the idea somewhere around the Scarlet Bloom episode.
"You should really join the Akane fan club!" The president of said club invited her, "I'm sure you realize that there's nothing more adorable than her embarrassed faces," he took her hands in a handshake, "having her close friend a member would bolster our forces by a great deal!" He ended with a smile, sure of his victory.
She broke off the handshake, "No thanks," and responded immediately with no amount of uncertainty, beginning to walk away.
The president put his right hand on her shoulder to stop her, "why!? There are plenty of benefits from being a club member! And we're always figuring out ways to support her!" He continued pushing the issue, clearly at a total loss as to how his invitation was refused so cleanly.
She turned to face him yet again, "you said there was nothing more adorable than her embarrassed faces, right?" She returned with a question of her own.
He looked a bit annoyed, "yes! But we don't only try and bring out those expressions," he added with a 'knowing' smile.
"Well, you're wrong. There are moments when Akane is even more adorable than that," she answered simply. With those words she turned her back to him yet again and made her way back to the classroom. While the prospect of having others to help her in her support of her princess was tempting, her real happiness came from Akane's happiness. She also didn't need to become part of some fanclub to be able to do things like walk home together, or enjoy lunch together. One day...she might just make a move (because it's obvious Akane would never make the first move), but for now she would let her focus on the elections currently running, and would give her full support as her closest friend.
This pairing is really cute, and after seeing the episode where we learned more in-depth about the fan club, I just had to write this. So glad that the anime didn't sink this ship~ Sad that it's over, but it was a great finale! I might end up doing more ficlets for the show at some point. Sorry again that it's so short, but this is exactly what I wanted to write this time.
