A/N: Hello everybody and welcome to my first Smash Bros. Fic *shoots confetti*
Now, if you've been watching the latest Nintendo Direct (First since Iwata's death RIP), Then you've seen the NEWEST Addition to the roster.
So, let me be the first to welcome the newbie in this fic (hopefully)
Musical Accompaniment: FFVII Opening Theme: Bombing Mission
Just on the outskirts of the Smash Mansion, a railway was shaking like there was a small aftershock.
The railway ended in front of the Smash Mansion.
As the train was nearing the Mansion, an all too familiar alarm was heard.
*BEEP**BEEP* "CHALLENGER APPROACHING!"
The alarm eventually made its way into the mansion. All the residents were busy doing their own thing whether it was training or just plain hanging out and talking amongst themselves. Nevertheless, when they heard the alarm, they all stopped what they were doing and headed out to the front yard.
In front of the mansion was a large locomotive. The locomotive looked like it was out of time, like 1997 old.
Branded on one of train's railroad cars, was the train's origin:
SQUARE ENIX
Majority of them knew the company.
Square Enix(Then SquareSoft) used to work with Nintendo, the Smash Mansion's founder for quite sometime. They only stopped because of a little dispute around 1994. Since then, the company has worked with Nintendo for a few projects.
The only one whoever worked for Square was Mario and his friends (and Bowser).
Above the Company's name was a black meteor graphic with varying shades of turquoise. Just by the "meteor's" tail was a single small, black circle.
The conductor was a weird fellow. He looked disfigured, like he was made of polygons or something similar.
Suddenly, without warning, a tall figure jumped from the top of the train, shocking majority of them. When he landed, he swung his sword around, and rested it on his back.
The figure was a tall, muscular man about 5'8". His noticeable feature was his spiky, blond hair. It kind of resembled Ike's hairstyle, with Shulk's hair color.
His outfit consisted of an indigo, turtleneck sweater, and matching baggy pants. His left shoulder had a grayish-black pauldron with four bolts sticking out. He had a particular gauntlet on his left arm with several, more bolts sticking out. He had brown gloves, with his right one being fingerless, while his left had a metallic, finger-like look.
His belt hung on two straps with an embossed logo: the SOLDIER logo. He also wore brown, zipped-boots.
His weapon was also another defining feature. It was long, almost six feet long. Majority of it was black, with a bit of white on the blade end. Two holes were by its red, silver-tipped handle.
The figure stood there for a while, a glint appearing on his blue, Jenova infused eyes, and then spoke:
"My name is Cloud, SOLDIER first class."
A/N: And that concludes my little fic!
There were quite a few FFVII references in them. As well as other references to video game history. Try to spot 'em all!
As for the companies, I have a headcanon that other video game companies send their fighters to Smash Bros. to test their skills. It's my headcanon, deal with it.
Alos, please don't kill me about the Square/Nintendo thing. I wasn't even born that time. Also, please remember that this is a fabric, NOT a documentary. Geez...
And yes, I AM excited for Cloud being included in Smash Bros. I pretty much fangirled like a little girl. Though, I would've preferred the Warrior of Light from FFI (look him up) since he pretty much appeared in a NINTENDO console, but whatever. I'm definitely ok with Cloud.
