A reflection?
Perhaps so…
But what is a reflection, a mirror image?
True if one was to glance at their reflection they would see something.
Perhaps what they see is similar in appearance…
But it's still just the opposite…
Isn't it?
Names?
Do they have a power?
Can their meanings choose the course of ones fate?
Something that means the same in one tongue
As that other meant in a different one?
Does blood hold one responsible for others faults?
What was done by someone else
Tie the knot of fate for generations further down the line?
And is it enough just to know what was really done,
Or are they just clouds of dust kicked up in their faces.
By the "Good" and "Righteous" ones?
Is there still a chance for redemption
For the blood spilt throughout the centuries?
Or is it just something passed down
Like a curse maybe.
A scar
A horrid deformity?
Some mark by which one can look at another
And go about their day feeling good about themselves
Believing this one is unrighteous, unholy
Evil?
