Summary: Alternative story begins during later part of Wave Arc.

"Why are you hesitating?" Haku asked, her eyes lifeless and her face set in an unemotional mask.
"Please hurry and kill me…" Haku added almost pleadingly.
Naruto felt his stomach twist, he felt sick with the idea of taking Haku's life, what would be his first kill…
"Is this… Is this the only way?" Naruto asked, and Haku's lips twisted up into an almost un-recognizable smile.
"Yes…" She whispered.
Closing his eyes and concentrating he brought that sickened feeling under control, forging a resolve to follow through with Haku's wishes he looked up at Haku with determined eyes. Opening the pouch at his side he pulled out a kunai with one finger, before gripping it with his full palm.
"Please fulfil your own dreams…" Haku said in a raised voice.
He barely turned to his team-mate who had no longer any chance of fulfilling his own dream's, Haku's senbon needles emerging from Sasuke's body in over a dozen points, he knew that Haku hadn't wanted to kill him, some feeling told him so...
"If we had met under different circumstances, we might've become friends" Naruto said before a hand touched him on the shoulder, looking up he saw the nameless Nin from the village, who nodded to him before rushing forward to Haku holding a kunai, Haku's head bowed forward, submiting to fate.
"Thank you" Haku whispered as the weapon pierced Haku's neck, Haku's eyes went unfocussed almost instantly.
The unnamed Nin's weapon disappeared in a puff of smoke as it transformed into Haku's own senbon needles, noting the position of the needles Haku had used earlier to 'kill' Zabuza, he had recreated the positioning of the needles to make it look like Haku was dead, using Haku's needles he had placed Haku in a 'Momentary Death' just like Haku had for Zabuza.
Zabuza, noting the 'Death' of his apprentice looked up at Kakashi, a moment before the Lightning Edge struck home and Kakashi's hand emerged through his back… Water falling around Kakashi's hand and onto the floor as Zabuza's water clone disappeared.
Naruto who had only seen the Nameless ninja rush toward Haku turned away as the 'fatal' blow was struck, turning back towards the two motionless figures in the mist, Sakura and the bridge builder, Naruto slowly walked towards them as the mist began to clear.
Kakashi and The Nameless Nin quickly scanned the area as the mist totally disappeared looking for Zabuza, the Nameless one who had put Haku in 'temperary death' picked up the smaller shinobi and balanced Haku over his shoulder, Kakashi placed the hidden leaf forhead protector over his Sharingan and looked at the others, raising a hidden eyebrow at the nameless shinobi.
Zabuza, 'the demon of the hidden mist' had gotten away...
