Note: Sorry if this is confusing. Also WARNING: Minor spoilers ahead!

Brown. It was the color of her eyes that pierced him whenever she glanced his way. It was the color that he always remembered whenever he lowered his lips to hers. It was the last color he would remember as he went to bed some nights, and it was the first color that greeted him some of those mornings. It wasn't the first color that came to mind when he saw her, but it lingered, the color watching him, studying him, loving him.
Black. It was the color that reminded him oh so much of him. So untidy and rebellious, it was the color that stood out about himself, reflecting him, and proving that he carried the blood and the flesh that he was so proud to bear. It was the color of the eyes of the most caring and warm person he knew. It was also the color that reminded him of one of the greatest Headmasters of Hogwarts. The one that he never understood, never fully grasped the subtle and calm demeanor of, and the one with the eyes with the color that didn't stand out and warm, but as cold and hostile.
Gold. It was the color of the sparks that flew out of his repaired wand. It was the color that he remembered when he thought of the giver of the phoenix feather in it. She was his savior in more than one occasion, though indirectly. It was the feeling of warmth his fingers felt the moment he regained his proper wand, releasing and returning his stolen one. It was the color that the house he lived in was almost always adorning, he himself ensuring that there was never a dull moment around.
Red. It was the color of the family he never had. Their hair, so fiery and so bold, outshined any of his other friend's hair. Every morning, he was sure to see a speck of bright red, as she scurried the room, the house. While only one of his children carried that trait, it reminded him so much of her namesake. The similarities of mother, of wife, and of daughter were so blunt, so amazing, he knew it was all because of the color. But it was also the color of anger, temper, a trait carried by his family. It was the color of the light emitted by his favorite defensive spell, the spell that in the end saved his life, ending another's.
Green. It was the color of the one curse that always taunted him, however feeble those taunts were. It was the color of the flash that used to torment him, the color he used to dread. But now, it was the one color he always found comfort in. It was his favorite color. It was the color of his eyes that welcomed him every time he would look into a mirror. They were the color of her eyes, and the reason why he protected him, and the reason why survived the Great War.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, even though I own all the books.
Timeline: Post-DH
Characters: Harry, Ginny, James, Hagrid, Snape, Fawkes, The Weasleys, Lily
Couples: Harry x Ginny, Snape x Lily
Beta-Read: None.
Notes: Well, this would be my first Harry Potter fanfic. The only reason I wrote this was; I was inspired, and I wanted to published one other Harry Potter fic before I wrote my big, long one-shot that's gonna be an alternate epilogue (though couples and children are the same.) It's mainly to fix up the lack of all the other characters that weren't mentioned.
Hope you enjoyed, and I appreciate everyone who reviews!
