a/n: for all of my hardworking ladies out there! we all deserve a break like this atleast twice a week. if you dont know me, im a frequent writer for the Mentalist fanpages, but am almost just (if not more) obsessed with Law&Order: SVU and CI, In Plain Sight, and the most amazing show, yet sadly cancelled, Women's Murder Club. Absolutley loved that show, and im very beyond pissed it was cancelled. ANywhoo, read and review, cause thats just the way we roll(:
Teresa Lisbon sat in the sand, a smile spreading widley across her face. Her white scarf fluttered in the warm ocean breeze, as the springs sun tanned her face. She arched her back and ran her fingers through the sand and then relaxing on her back.
Olivia Benson was wading through the ocean, gasping as the cold spring water jumped up her waist. She dived under water, and held her breath as a wave rolled over her. She popped back up instantly, with the icy breeze energetically pricking her face. She gasped for breath, and caught the next wave into shore.
Alex Eames ran on the water line, racing the other detective down the beach. Barefoot and wearing shorts and a tee shirt a piece, they occasionally splashed each other, laughing uncontrollably.
"Lindsay Boxer, you are a hot mess!" Alex laughed at her dark haired and much taller friend.
Mary Shannon walked over to Teresa and sat down in her dark jeans and white wife beater, and dropped the cooler and baggies of sandwiches. Olivia's wave brought her in, and she rolled off of the sand and walked over to Teresa and Mary. Lindsay and Alex finish their race, both panting and out of breath from laughing.
Like a bunch of silly teenage girls, everyone sat down and began to talk and laugh at the same time. They all sat down and enjoyed a well-deserved lunch of sandwiches, pasta salad, chips, fruit, and a hard earned beer.
It was like a fairytale; or maybe like a sisterhood of the traveling cops.
