DAVE'S LETTER

Author's Note: I've done this one shot because I believe that the Loons are two seriously overlooked characters in the show. Enjoy.

Dear Ping Pong,

Hey there! How's the rest of summer treating you back home? I'm really sorry about your leg getting broken. I can't believe you had to be sent home after that!

Life's been pretty good up here in Camp Kidney. You're not the only one who's gone home. Raj is back in India for a week. He's attending his cousin's wedding. With him gone, that leaves Lazlo and Clam with their crazy anatics.

Speaking of those two, today is supposed to be where the Jellies do their "ultimate fun time." With Raj gone, I'm sure it'll be something bigger than last year's "Pajama Fiesta." No doubt Edward, our beaver duck friend, will try to stop them...

Our paper is doing just fine so you don't have to worry about that. The first couple of days without you though were SO overwhelming! So I took your advice you told me right before you left and got someone to take your place. (Just for this year!)

She is a new Squirrel Scout named Alexa. She's a black feathered loon like me, except for the black feathers of course. Alexa told me she works for her school news letter so I thought she was the perfect choice.

There is something with her though. I know Alexa is a Squirrel Scout, gbut she far different from the rest of them. In fact, just last week I saw her blushing when she tried to talk to me. And for some reason she seemed to have a bit of a stuttering problem. I'm starting to think she has a crush on me...


Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say and I hope you like the copy of The Bean I've sent you!

Dave placed his letter in the envelope, put a stamp on it, and handed it to Samson where he would mail it later on.

With that done, he walked back to his cabin where the paper's printing press was. No one else was going to teach Alexa, his girlfriend, how to use it but Dave...
